Heather & Arthur’s Perfect Moments:
Day 1
Heather: Realizing that the color of grasshoppers is true true chartreuse, then I carefully dismounted my bike and violently flicked it off of my handlebar.
Arthur: Accidentally donating to the wrong organization and then being too embarrassed to ask for it back so I just donated to the originally-intended org as well, therefore doubling my total donation amount and forcing myself to be ok with it.

Heather: Seeing a sky so full of clouds that the pockets of sky look like clouds 🐑
Arthur:
In the morning discovering an arrangement of random objects i subconsciously / unintentionally constructed then forgot about while i was talking to my mom on the phone last night
Day 3
Heather: Learning how to give a proper hug. Apparently I’ve been doing it wrong my whole life. Hugger are supposed to go towards the right side so it’s heart to heart.
Arthur: Reminiscing on funny memories with homies

Heather: totally totally vibing with my small teaching team and figuring out what a flow sequence together.

Arthur: Waking up to news of a friend’s success

Heather: This girl I didn’t really vibe with since the beginning for no good reason cried in class since she was stressed about being underprepared and I felt somewhat validated by my premonition (evil laugh).
Arthur: Feeling like i have advice to give 🤓
Day 6
Heather: Realizing that treating others as how you’d like to be treated is basically projection.
Arthur: Writing a response on a past friend/collaborator’s pro-trump admission FB post and getting likes from strangers 😈
Day 7
Heather: Seeing talent actively be talented on this call I had this morning
Arthur: Randomly having an artistic epiphany while washing the dishes
Day 8
Heather: Realizing i need an alarm when i have 3% battery and I can't find my charger AND i have to wake up at 6am tomorrow to practice at 7am for my graduation class at 9am
Arthur: Leaving a covid testing line because the wait is 2+ hours, there’s road work happening in the middle of the line, there’s no cell reception, its hot but not hot enough to have the a/c on, and i hadn’t eaten lunch.
Day 9
Heather: As I wake up from my non-nap I don’t have my glasses and start to walk down the hallway, and then step on something poky and I realize it is the giant bug that was terrorizing me last night, so I grab the closest towel and throw it over the giant bug. Fin.
Arthur: The person that lets you cut in front to merge in a car line
Day 10
Heather: Getting emotional after this girl said something very sweet about me in our graduation ceremony and we had a nice hug (the right way), then learning later that day she kissed the covid positive dude the previous night.
Arthur: Hang & dance session in the park with the homies
Day 11
Heather: Discovering that Rihanna’s last name is Fenty... it all makes sense now.
Arthur: That feeling of “i’ll do it tomorrow” for the 5th consecutive day
Day 12
Heather: Changing my mind about rosemary after getting it on a pizza I ate for lunch today.
Arthur: Binge worthy content (im watching the morning show with jennifer aniston + reese witherspoon + steve carrell). REVISED: The feeling that something is worth giving up sleep over
Day 13
Heather: Waking up to a pleasantly surprising LinkedIn message from an old acquaintance
Arthur: restarting a song before its over so i can give it my full attention from the top

Heather: feeling relieved and joyful after talking to that friend who is STILL alive.
Arthur: massaging myself with a rubber ball but needing to balance on an arrangement of a foam roller, yoga block, a stool, and various surfaces to find the sweet spot

Heather: seeing “gobble gobble” from a text and deeply appreciating how much I love everything about the word, and added it to my words I like list.
Arthur: Sold some things online to 2 people who didn’t try at all to lowball me!!!!!
Day 16
Day 16 (Heather)
Heather: finally learning how to enjoy tulum while realizing there are so many coconuts on a tree and discovering the satirical writings of Gustave Flaubert.
Arthur: cracking the code on the structure of the trailer which makes editing it a breeze

Heather: feeling smug at the beach and thinking there is no other possible way I could be more comfortable, then this dog comes by and sprawls in the shade next to me and I wished that I had more shade.
Arthur: sending a video of myself laughing with no context to my friend group chat
Day 18
Heather: On my last evening in Tulum I finally figured out the mystery of why my previous attempts of massacring the trail of ants on the counter with the water cooler never worked.
Arthur: I made a movement sequence and my crewmates gave me props for it 🤓
Day 19
Heather: Seeing residue loose tea leaves in the electric tea kettle. My reaction was initially horror and then I chuckled and thought it was adorbs.
Arthur: If, then: if i stretch, i’ll feel better
Day 20
Heather: Seeing in action how good design conveys truths about humanity, learning the difference between a foot mark and an apostrophe, and being inspired to read about the architecture of prisons
Arthur: seeing a community grieve and celebrate the loss of an influential teacher, and feeling lucky to have once been in her presence
Day 21
Heather: ordered what I thought was pho but apparently it was just beef and broth and no noodles and I was accused me of being a bad Asian.
Arthur: A general sense of productivity across multiple things after a few days of feeling in a slump
Day 22
Heather: Unintentionally walked by my favorite stationary store and felt so joyful seeing these neat little stacks of color
Arthur: People paying tribute to the collapse of the Arecibo observatory in the Youtube comments of a 007 movie clip where it was destroyed
Day 23
Heather: hanging out with my friends and being delighted by his man bun 🍙 REVISED: Seeing my friend’s google sheet of Hinge profile answers and was horrified and delighted at the same time
Arthur: Watching an online concert at a school i used to teach at & seeing students who i met as sophomores now as seniors creating and thinking and articulating and adapting to the times while staying curious and inspired
Day 24 (Heather)

Heather: Hearing Rachel tell me about the print she has hanging up on her hallway from her grandmother, which was from Jamie Wyeth, Andrew’s son. The print is a portrait that Wyeth drew of Andy Warhol.
Arthur: Dancing with homies but i kinda did that one already. My runner up is: not wanting to wash any forks so eating a pizza with chopsticks

Heather: feeling confident in buying a value pack of toilet paper and not doubting if I will be able to use all of it
Arthur: feeling good about waking up at a reasonable hour and then immediately rewarding myself with a nap
Day 26
Heather: hearing my Lyft driver of ambiguous Eastern European descent say “okie dokie” multiple times
Arthur: Compost giving me a reason to be outside
Day 27
Heather: Confirming that I only like the idea of gardenia and not the smell, at least not in candle form
Arthur: A lively chat with my crewmates currently in 3 different time zones about what it means to improve
Day 28
Heather: Learning that jimmy fallon has a pajama line called jimmy’s and he hosted a jimmy jammy jam.
Arthur: Watching Jerome Ellis’s transcription video of his piece after being annoyed at the producer’s commentary over it
Day 29
Heather: My friend telling me that I ended up on my favorite business podcast.
Arthur: The shame of pausing a live event I was watching so that I could watch marvel trailers

Heather: Getting better at napping and having a very vivid dream of a podcast producer reacting to my podcast
Arthur: Bought a tomato solely on the premise that it looked like a wax apple
