This is hand-made with intention, in collaboration with designer Daniel Pontius of LA-based design and textile company Simeona Leona. The company was founded by husband + husband duo, artist Cirilo Domine and interior designer, Daniel Pontius. The name is a tribute to their grandmothers, whose names are Simeona and Leona (swoon).
$42, inclusive of shipping. Only shipping to U.S. addresses at the moment (sorry). It is a labor of love and a souvenir for the series. It’s $42 because this is 1) small batch production 2) with high quality materials (100% linen) 3) and is handmade in sunny Los Angeles (sewn and embroidered). The labor and materials cost split is 80/20. Thank you for your support.
“Get Messy” represents an active mindset. It’s ok to make a mess, we have tools to clean it up. This tea towel features the It’s Nice to Hear You doodle, a visual reminder that life is messy and non-linear. Live out your experiences in all of it’s doodly glory. There is a segment in episode 3 about embracing messy. Take a listen.
The tea towel is designed by UX + visual designer, Jen Ng. Jen is the mastermind behind the It’s Nice to Hear You brand identity and also created the doodle.
Most of the voice memos featured in this podcast takes place in the homes of my participants. The tone deeply intimate. A tea towel is something we see hanging in our kitchens everyday - the perfect object to embody the tone of the podcast and carry a message that is core the series.
Venmo $42 to @yvesdropper and include your address. I’ll ship it to you via ground shipping within 2 days of purchase.
